Books Revive Wolf Man, Dracula, The Creature and More!

DH Press announced that it will issue a new series of novels based on Universal Pictures' classic movie monsters, with stories featuring such iconic creatures as the Wolf Man and Dracula.
The first wave of books coming in 2006 will feature Dracula, Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Wolf Man, the Mummy and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. In January 2006, DH will release Dracula: Asylum and Wolf Man: Hunter's Moon, each retailing for $6.99.
Dracula: Asylum, by Paul Witcover (Waking Beauty), is set in Dr. Seward's sanatorium, where Dracula was originally destroyed, and takes plays in the days directly following the end of World War I. The DH Press interpretation of Dracula will bring one of the most durable characters of vampire lore to an established readership of edgy literature.
Wolf Man: Hunter's Moon, by Michael Jan Friedman, centers on lycanthrope Lawrence Talbot, who is chased by a heretical cult dedicated to destroying all marked by the sign of the wolf.
Creature from the Black Lagoon: Time's Black Lagoon, by Paul Di Filippo, Six decades later, one scientist attempts to find out, using a time machine to journey into the past. What he finds not only shatters his vision of what the Creature might be, but could change the history of the human race forever.
The Universal Monsters are, as a group and individually, among the most recognizable characters in horror and science fiction history and have a large built-in fan base.
