Clive Barker Set To Write 'Hellraiser' Remake
Clive Barker tells Revelations: "I just want to have five minutes to bring you up to date on the Hellraiser situation, so that we don’t surprise anybody!" They’re going to remake Hellraiser One with a lot more money and they’ve invited me to write it – the invitation came from Bob Weinstein – which I am going to do, on the basis that if I don’t do it, it will be done in some way that I probably won’t like!"
It’s only that one that I really, really, really care about in terms of its remake value - and it’ll be kind of fun to have the extra money to do the effects and all that cool stuff.
"So it puts me in the situation of writing both the beginning and the end of Pinhead at the same time – ‘In my end is my beginning…’ I’m not in the middle, as it were, I’m leaving out his middle age, I’m just dealing with his beginning and his end.
"I’m excited about it - actually it’ll be kinda cool to revisit it once and see if there are things we can do to it which will make it significantly better.
"I wouldn’t wish to direct – I only want to write and be a part of the producing team. I wouldn’t want to revisit something that I did as a director, something that I did all those years ago: that would be too, in a way, painful - not painful but weird, difficult, strange…
"I am very happy at the idea of having some more money for the cool stuff – I don’t know how much more money, but it’s got to be more than the $900,000 that we had the first time!"

The Monster Squad On Frightmares The Series
Kane & The Frightmaster have hosted some strange stuff on FrightmaresTheSeries.com, and one of the strangest (and most requested) is back online now - the March 2005 edition of Frightmares the series, featuring an episode of the forgotten 1976 TV show "The Monster Squad". (No relation to the movie from the 80's) It stars Fred Grandy, former "Love Boat" star & politician, as a guy who works nights at a wax museum(!) and re-animates wax figures of Dracula, Frankenstein, & The Wolfman. And now the monsters are "determined to make up for their past misbehaving by fighting crime". Certainly one of the strangest portrayals ever of these beloved movie monsters! Enjoy the show!

Evil Clown Doll Lurks in San Diego
Steel Web Studios is pleased to announce that production has begun on "Mr. Buttons", our third Tale from the Carnal Morgue. "Mr. Buttons" is the tale of a little girl who comes into possession of the film’s namesake doll. Over time she learns the doll has the power to grant wishes, but often with horrific consequences. Inspired by creepy clowns and the classic tale of "The Monkey’s Paw" by W. W. Jacobs, this psychological horror story promises to be another original entry into Steel Web Studios film catalog.
The cast includes Vanessa Mitchell, Alicia Randolph, Grant Price, Will Morgan, Jennie Olson, Criston Mitchel, Roger Gobin, Jen Nikolaus and Acasia Bloxton. Some familiar faces and themes from other Steel Web films will also make an appearance.
"Mr. Buttons" is written and directed by David Quitmeyer, the creator of the notorious erotic horror film "Slaughter Disc". The talented composer Peter J. Gorritz will again provide an original score for the film. Special makeup effects will be provided by Lisa Keeping, who’s credits include the "Blade" TV series and the hit series "Supernatural".
Steel Web Studios plans on submitting the film to several select festivals. The festival cut of the film is expected to be 20 minutes long. A longer, uncut version of the film will be included with the DVD anthology "Tales from the Carnal Morgue, Volume One". The DVD is planned for release on June 15, 2007.
