Horror fans get Chiller channel on DirecTV
From Reuters: NBC Universal is set to launch a 24-hour cable channel featuring horror and thriller programming.Chiller, which bows March 1 on DirecTV, will initially feature such classic TV series as "Friday the 13th," "Twin Peaks," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "Tales From the Crypt," and feature films including "The Shining," "Psycho" and "Blade Runner."
Chiller will be available as a standard-definition channel, high-definition simulcast channel and a video-on-demand channel, and will feature broadband-on-demand offerings.
NBC Universal made the announcement Friday during the Television Critics Assn. winter press tour.
