April Fool's Day Remake News

Today Bloody-Disgusting received word that The Butcher Brothers will make their studio feature debut with a remake of April Fool's Day. The Butcher Bros. will also be penning the remake with either Columbia Tristar or Paramount Pictures distributing.

In the film a group of eight college friends gather together at an island mansion belonging to heiress Muffy St. John to celebrate their final year of school. They soon discover that each has a hidden secret from their past which is revealed, and soon after, they turn up dead. Yet, are they really dead? Or is it just part of some very real and cruel April Fool's jokes? The hostess, Muffy, is the only one who apparently knows what's going on. But then again, is it really her doing the killing?

Anthony Hopkins Role In The Wolfman

Anthony Hopkins told RottenTomatoes.com that he is considering a role in The Wolfman, starring Benicio Del Toro.

"There's also a chance I may play the Wolfman in London in a movie with Benicio Del Toro," Hopkins told the site. "My agent says it's a great script, but he hasn't sent it to me yet."

Hopkins indicated that this is purely a matter of studio negotiations and that he wants the role. "He said he just wants to make sure that the deal is all in, but I play the Wolfman's father in Paris. A wonderful part."

The film would be based on Universal Pictures' classic 1941 movie The Wolf Man.

GRINDHOUSE: Eli Roth's Faux Trailer- "Thanksgiving"

This is Eli Roth's Faux Trailer that will be shown between "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof". Grindhouse opens today in theaters everywhere.

Directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez present two full-length movies in a new horror double feature. In Tarantino's "Death Proof," Austin's hottest DJ, Jungle Julia, sets out into the night to unwind with her two friends Shanna an Arlene. Covertly tracking their moves is Stuntman Mike, a scarred rebel leering from behind the wheel of his muscle car, revving just feet away.

In Rodriguez's "Planet Terror," two doctors find their graveyard shift inundated with townspeople ravaged by sores. Among the wounded is Cherry, a dancer whose leg was ripped from her body. As the invalids quickly become enraged aggressors, Cherry and her ex-boyfriend Wray lead a team of accidental warriors into the night.

Now enjoy Eli Roth's "Thanksgiving" trailer.
